The Time Architecture Research Lab explores architecture as a living framework shaped by time, change, and environmental responsibility. We view buildings not as isolated, static objects, but as open-ended structures—carrying the memory of the past, meeting the needs of the present, and remaining adaptable to the uncertainties of the future.
Our approach is to design not only space, but also its time: the unfolding life of a building. This involves strategies such as spatial generosity, resilient structural frameworks, adaptable servicing systems, and principles of disassembly and reuse etc—architecture that enable buildings to transform over time rather than be replaced.
We pursue dynamic collaborations with architects, engineers, planners, and researchers to develop new approaches to the climate crisis—responses rooted in environmental ethics as well as local contexts. At its heart, the lab is both a design studio and a research platform, integrating practice, pedagogy, and scholarship to shape a more adaptable and responsible built environment.

Jusin Park

Jusin Park is a licensed architect from the UK and Netherlands joined Department of Architecture at Korea University. Previously, he worked for internationally recognised firms including David Chipperfield Architects (2018—2023), Caruso St John Architects(2017—2018), Adam Khan Architects (2016), Architecture Research Unit (2015).
At David Chipperfield Architects, he has led various projects as a project architect including, Dallas Museum of Art in Dallas, K-Project in Seoul, Dairy Road residential development in Canberra and St. James’s Square development in London. He was formerly partner director of Parklee Studio(2016—2018) working on numerous projects in the UK, Europe and South Korea which were invited for lectures and exhibitions.
His works awarded prizes from international competitions in Korea and elsewhere including KRAFTON C4 project, Seoul National University student housing and extension for College of Humanities, Lund City Hall etc.
Jusin taught from University of East London and was invited for a number of lectures and crits organised by Architecture Foundation, CASS, University of Melbourne, University of Seoul and ETH.
